In Jabal al-Jalles, Hebron, the Israeli terrorist forces are going door to door. They are not looking for weapons. They are not searching for fighters. They are abducting people. Men, women, teenagers. Anyone they want. And when they are done clearing the homes, they pick one and turn it into a military base.

A Palestinian family’s house. The place where children were raised. Where a mother cooked. Where a father worked to provide. Now it has rifles on the windows and Zionist soldiers sitting on the furniture, using it as a checkpoint to terrorize the neighborhood.

And it gets worse.

In the same city, in occupied Hebron, IDF soldiers broke into the home of an elderly Palestinian man. They dragged him out. Kidnapped him from his own house. And then, because cruelty was not enough, they took a selfie with him.

They smiled for the camera. They posed. They mocked a man old enough to be their grandfather. A man who has lived under occupation longer than they have been alive. And they laughed.

This is the face of Zionism. Not the polished speeches at the UN. Not the propaganda videos about democracy. This. Soldiers grinning while holding an elderly man they just kidnapped. This is what they do when the cameras are theirs.

Where is the Ummah? Where is the rage that should be shaking the Muslim world right now?

Allah says in the Quran:

And what is it with you? You do not fight in the cause of Allah and for oppressed men, women, and children who cry out, “Our Lord! Deliver us from this land of oppressors! Appoint for us a saviour; appoint for us a helper—all by Your grace.” Believers fight for the cause of Allah, whereas disbelievers fight for the cause of the Devil. So fight against Satan’s ˹evil˺ forces. Indeed, Satan’s schemes are ever weak.  (Surah An-Nisa, 4:75-76)

What is wrong with us? An old man is kidnapped and mocked, and we scroll past it. A family’s home is turned into a military base, and we retweet it with a sad emoji. Our people in Hebron are being hunted in their own streets, and we go back to our lives. This is not normal. This should never be normal.

When the Khilafah existed, an attack on a single Muslim was an attack on the state. When one woman cried out for help, the Khalifah sent an army. Not a statement. Not a UN resolution. An army.

Now we have 1.8 billion Muslims and we cannot protect one elderly man in Hebron from being turned into a photo op for terrorists.

The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said:

“The believers are like one body. If one part of the body suffers, the whole body responds with sleeplessness and fever.” (Riyad as-Salihin 224)

If we are one body, then why are we still sleeping? Why is there no fever? Why are we not burning with anger at what is being done to our people?

Because we have no Khalifah. Because we have no state that answers to Allah instead of to America. Because the Ummah has been carved into pieces and every piece is too weak or too cowardly to act.

And so the Israeli terrorists do whatever they want. They abduct our people. They occupy our homes. They mock our elders. And they smile for the camera because they know no one is coming to stop them.

The Prophet, peace be upon him, also said:

“Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand. If he is unable to do so, then with his tongue. And if he is unable to do so, then with his heart, and that is the weakest of faith.” (Sahih Muslim, 49a)

We have been stuck at the weakest level for too long. Feeling it in our hearts. Posting it online. But nothing changes because we have no hand to stop it with. No army. No authority. No Khilafah. How many more selfies do we need to see? How many more homes will be turned into military bases? How many more of our elders will be dragged out and humiliated before we realize that charity and dua are not enough?

We need power. Islamic power. A state that does not ask permission to defend Muslims. A Khalifah who sends soldiers to Hebron, not statements.

Allah promises:

˹They are˺ those who have been expelled from their homes for no reason other than proclaiming: “Our Lord is Allah.” Had Allah not repelled ˹the aggression of˺ some people by means of others, destruction would have surely claimed monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which Allah’s Name is often mentioned. Allah will certainly help those who stand up for Him. Allah is truly All-Powerful, Almighty. (Surah Al-Hajj, 22:40)

The promise is there. But we have to act. We have to work for the return of the Khilafah. Not tomorrow. Not next year. Now.

Because while we wait, they are kicking down doors in Hebron. They are turning our homes into bases. They are mocking our elders and posting it online for the world to see. And the world sees our weakness. They see that Muslims can be humiliated without consequence. That our blood is cheap. That our dignity means nothing.

Prove them wrong. Work for the Khilafah. Speak about it. Organize for it. Join those who are already fighting for it. Stop waiting for someone else to fix this. The responsibility is yours. They smiled in that selfie because they think we will do nothing. Show them they are wrong.
