Every year, millions of dollars pour into Jerusalem. Restoration projects. Construction. Expansion. The Zionists are building. They are renovating synagogues. They are digging tunnels under Al-Aqsa to weaken its foundation. They are planning, brick by brick, to erase the Islamic character of the city. 

And what are we doing? We are watching.

Al-Aqsa is cracking. The structure is old. The repairs are blocked. Every time Palestinians try to fix it, they are stopped. Permits are denied. Materials are confiscated. The masjid that Muslims have prayed in for over a thousand years is being left to decay on purpose.

Allah says:

يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُطْفِـُٔوا۟ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَيَأْبَى ٱللَّهُ إِلَّآ أَن يُتِمَّ نُورَهُۥ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُۥ بِٱلْهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ ٱلْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلدِّينِ كُلِّهِۦ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْمُشْرِكُونَ

They wish to extinguish Allah’s light with their mouths, but Allah will only allow His light to be perfected, even to the dismay of the disbelievers. He is the One Who has sent His Messenger with ˹true˺ guidance and the religion of truth, making it prevail over all others, even to the dismay of the polytheists. (Surah At-Tawbah, 9:32-33)

The light will not be extinguished. But that does not mean we sit back and do nothing while they try. When the Khilafah existed, Al-Aqsa was maintained, protected, honored. The Caliphs understood that this was not just another building. This was the first qiblah. This was the place of Isra and Mi’raj. And they treated it accordingly. Now we have no Khilafah. And so we have no one to stop the tunnels. No one to fund the repairs. No one stands between Al-Aqsa and the plans they have for it.

We have forsaken them. Not with intention, but with inaction. Al-Aqsa is crumbling and we are building mansions. They are digging under the foundations of our masjid and we are arguing about which madhab is correct.

Wake up. The time for division is over. The time for a united Islamic leadership is now. Because if we do not act soon, there will be nothing left to protect.
