Look at the state of this Ummah! Look at our disgrace! While a single Zionist, for the sake of his illegitimate state, sets the entire Middle East ablaze, drenching the land in the blood of our brothers and sisters, we, the Muslims, the bearers of the final truth, what do we do? We sit in silence. We offer condemnations from air-conditioned halls. We have the power, the numbers, the duty to stand against them, so why don’t we? Is it this sickening love for a fleeting, comfortable life that has rotted our hearts? This is a weakness. This is a betrayal of our faith!
DO YOU NOT SEE? DOES YOUR BLOOD NOT BOIL?
The Global Flotilla is upon the horizon, breaking through waves to reach our besieged brothers in Gaza! We feel a flicker of hope, yes, but it is drowned in an ocean of shame! Because it is the kuffar, the unbelievers, who are putting us to shame! They are striving harder for our own people than we are! They are the ones with the courage to confront the blockade while our so-called leaders shake hands with the butchers and sign trade deals! Where is your dignity? Have you sold it for a handful of worldly gain?
IS THIS NOT THE ULTIMATE HUMILIATION?
Tell me, is there any shame deeper, any disgrace more profound, than the sight of a British Christian man standing before Egyptian soldiers and demanding, “Please help your brothers, or else get out of the way”? A man from a nation of crusaders shows more spine and concern for Muslims than the Muslim nations themselves! How do you sleep at night? How do you call yourselves believers while enduring this humiliation?
We have sold our souls for this world! We have become secularized, chasing after money, status, and temporary pleasures, and in the process, we have lost everything: our honor, our dignity, our strength, and the fear we once instilled in the hearts of our enemies. A community that is incapable of Jihad in the way of Allah, a community that cannot even conceive of sacrificing its wealth and its lives for His sake, how in the name of Allah do you dare to dream of the intercession of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)?! This is not just a failure; it is an arrogance that will lead to our ruin in this life and the next!
THE COMMAND OF ALLAH IS CLEARER THAN THE SUN! IT BROOKS NO EXCUSE!
Allah (ﷻ) has spoken, and His Word is the final authority:
وَقَاتِلُوا ف۪ي سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ الَّذ۪ينَ يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ وَلَا تَعْتَدُواۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَد۪ينَ
“Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like transgressors.”
This is not a suggestion! It is a divine ordinance for those who are attacked! And do you think your personal feelings matter? Allah shatters that illusion:
كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْقِتَالُ وَهُوَ كُرْهٌ لَكُمْۚ وَعَسٰٓى اَنْ تَكْرَهُوا شَيْـًٔا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْۚ وَعَسٰٓى اَنْ تُحِبُّوا شَيْـًٔا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ لَكُمْۜ وَاللّٰهُ يَعْلَمُ وَاَنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ۟
“Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you. But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah knows, while you know not.”
He promises mercy and hope only to those who act:
اِنَّ الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا وَالَّذ۪ينَ هَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا ف۪ي سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِۙ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ يَرْجُونَ رَحْمَتَ اللّٰهِۜ وَاللّٰهُ غَفُورٌ رَح۪يمٌ
“Indeed, those who have believed and those who have emigrated and striven in the cause of Allah, those expect the mercy of Allah. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.”
LOOK AT SPAIN! The common people there rise up because a leader fails to recognize Gaza! And what do we do? Our own rulers openly trade with the entity that murders our family in Palestine, and we do nothing! We are the ones lagging behind! Why? Because we have forgotten the ultimate distinction Allah has made:
لَا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِن۪ينَ غَيْرُ اُو۬لِي الضَّرَرِ وَالْمُجَاهِدُونَ ف۪ي سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ بِاَمْوَالِهِمْ وَاَنْفُسِهِمْۜ فَضَّلَ اللّٰهُ الْمُجَاهِد۪ينَ بِاَمْوَالِهِمْ وَاَنْفُسِهِمْ عَلَى الْقَاعِد۪ينَ دَرَجَةًۜ وَكُلًّا وَعَدَ اللّٰهُ الْحُسْنٰىۜ وَفَضَّلَ اللّٰهُ الْمُجَاهِد۪ينَ عَلَى الْقَاعِد۪ينَ اَجْرًا عَظ۪يمًاۙ
“Not equal are those believers who remain behind [without legitimate excuse] and those who strive in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has preferred the strivers through their wealth and their lives over those who remain behind, by a degree. And to each, Allah has promised the best reward, but Allah has preferred the strivers over those who remain behind with a great reward.”
SO ENOUGH! ENOUGH WITH THIS COWARDICE! ENOUGH WITH THIS DEGRADATION!
The choice is laid bare before you by Allah Himself! Will you be among the qā’idūn, those who sit back, full of excuses, whose names will be etched in history as a cowardly, defeated people? Or will you be among the Mujāhidūn that fight for the sake of their lord?
