Documenting the blood trail from Darfur’s killing fields to Abu Dhabi’s palaces
Sudan is experiencing one of the worst humanitarian catastrophes of the 21st century. Over 30 million people need urgent assistance. Famine stalks the land. Entire ethnic groups face extermination in Darfur. This is deliberate. This is orchestrated. And the evidence increasingly points to one primary external enabler: the United Arab Emirates.
While Emirati leaders drape themselves in keffiyehs and project an image of Islamic respectability, the documented evidence reveals them as modern Pharaohs, funding, arming, and politically enabling a genocide against fellow Muslims.
This article presents the evidence. Not speculation. Not conspiracy theory. Documented facts from international investigators, UN experts, journalists, and human rights organizations.
Understanding the Massacre: What’s Happening in Sudan
Before examining who’s behind it, we must understand the scale of what’s being enabled:
The Human Cost
- 15,000+ confirmed dead (likely vast undercount due to inaccessible areas)
- 30.4 million people requiring humanitarian assistance
- 24.6 million facing acute hunger and risk of starvation
- 11+ million internally displaced
- 3+ million refugees fled to neighboring countries
- Systematic rape used as weapon of war
- Ethnic cleansing in Darfur targeting Masalit, Fur, and other non-Arab groups
The Perpetrators
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF), led by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (known as “Hemedti”), May Allah curse him, bear primary responsibility for the worst atrocities. The RSF evolved from the Janjaweed militias that committed genocide in Darfur in the 2000s.
The RSF doesn’t operate in a vacuum. It has sponsors. It has suppliers. It has enablers.
And the trail leads directly to the United Arab Emirates (and the US).
THE EVIDENCE: UAE’s Role in Sudan’s Genocide
EVIDENCE 1: Weapons and Military Hardware
UN Panel of Experts Reports
The United Nations Panel of Experts on Sudan has documented extensive evidence of UAE military support to the RSF:
January 2024 UN Report:
- Documented repeated cargo flights from UAE to areas controlled by the RSF
- Identified military equipment of UAE origin in RSF hands
- Traced supply chains for vehicles and weapons through UAE channels
- Noted pattern of UAE flights to Libya, then onwards to RSF-controlled areas in Sudan
Documented Arms Transfers
Multiple investigations have identified:
- Military-grade vehicles in RSF convoys matching UAE-supplied models
- Communications equipment traceable to UAE sources
- Ammunition and weapons systems consistent with UAE military stockpiles
- Drones and surveillance technology linked to UAE supply chains
CNN, BBC Arabic, and other outlets have published photographic evidence of weapons systems in RSF hands that match UAE military equipment.
The “Libya Route”
Investigators documented a pattern:
- UAE cargo planes fly to eastern Libya (where UAE-backed forces operate)
- Equipment is transferred to vehicles
- Convoys cross the border into RSF-controlled Sudan
- The materiel appears in RSF operations days or weeks later
EVIDENCE 2: The Gold Connection, Blood Money
Sudan’s Gold Flows to Dubai
Sudan produces significant gold, much of it from areas controlled by the RSF. International investigations have documented that massive quantities of Sudanese gold flow to the UAE, specifically Dubai’s gold markets.
The Sentry Investigation (2024):
- Documented gold smuggling networks moving Sudanese gold through UAE
- Identified specific companies and individuals facilitating the trade
- Traced financial flows showing gold proceeds financing RSF operations
- Estimated hundreds of millions of dollars in blood gold flowing to Dubai annually
UN Panel Documentation:
- Confirmed RSF controls multiple gold mining sites
- Documented forced labor in RSF-controlled mines
- Traced gold shipments from Sudan to UAE
- Connected gold revenue directly to RSF military procurement
How the System Works
- RSF seizes gold mining areas (often through violence against local populations)
- Gold is extracted (sometimes using forced labor, always without benefiting local communities)
- Gold is smuggled through various routes to UAE
- Dubai’s gold markets process the gold with minimal questions asked
- Proceeds return to RSF to purchase more weapons and fund more violence
This creates a self-perpetuating cycle: violence secures gold, gold finances more violence.
The UAE government could shut this down tomorrow by enforcing proper gold sourcing standards. They choose not to.
EVIDENCE #3: Political and Diplomatic Support
Hemedti’s UAE Connections
Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti) cultivated close relationships with UAE leadership over years:
Pre-War Relationship Building:
- Multiple documented visits to UAE before the war began
- Meetings with senior UAE officials
- Business partnerships with UAE-connected entities
- RSF forces deployed to Yemen as part of UAE-backed coalition (building loyalty and receiving compensation)
The New York Times and other outlets documented how the UAE helped Hemedti build international legitimacy and connections in the years before the current conflict.
Diplomatic Cover
While the international community condemned RSF atrocities, the UAE:
- Avoided strong criticism of RSF actions
- Blocked or weakened UN Security Council resolutions on Sudan
- Provided platforms for RSF representatives at international forums
- Maintained communication channels when others were cutting ties
This diplomatic support is documented in UN proceedings, diplomatic cables, and public statements.
EVIDENCE 4: The Financial Infrastructure
Banking and Money Transfers
Investigations have identified:
- Financial institutions in UAE processing transactions linked to RSF
- Shell companies in UAE used to obscure RSF financial flows
- Money transfer networks moving funds from UAE to RSF-controlled areas
- Cryptocurrency exchanges in UAE facilitating untraceable payments
CNN and Financial Times investigations documented specific banks and financial entities involved in processing Sudan-related transactions despite red flags.
Investment and Asset Protection
The UAE has also served as a safe haven for assets belonging to RSF leadership and their allies:
- Real estate purchases in Dubai by RSF-connected individuals
- Bank accounts holding RSF proceeds
- Investment vehicles obscuring the origin of funds
- Luxury goods purchases by RSF leaders and families
These aren’t allegations from activists anymore, these are findings from financial crime investigators and international journalists.
EVIDENCE 5: The Logistics Network
Cargo Flights and Transport
Flight tracking data and customs records show:
- Increased cargo flights from UAE to areas near RSF operations
- Patterns of flights correlating with RSF military operations
- Use of civilian cargo airlines to obscure military shipments
- Stopping in third countries (especially Libya) to further disguise origin
FlightRadar24 data, customs documents, and investigative journalism have documented these patterns extensively.
Supply Chain Management
The sophistication of RSF logistics suggests external support:
- Fuel supplies reaching RSF forces across vast distances
- Spare parts for military vehicles
- Medical supplies for RSF casualties
- Food and provisions for RSF troops
This level of logistics requires external coordination and financing, exactly what UAE provides.
EVIDENCE 6: Intelligence and Communications Support
Technical Capabilities
The RSF has demonstrated technical capabilities beyond what a militia should possess:
- Advanced communications systems allowing coordination across Sudan
- Intelligence gathering capabilities
- Electronic warfare capabilities
- Drone operation and maintenance
Multiple sources have reported that these capabilities align with UAE technical assistance and training.
Training Programs
Before and during the conflict:
- RSF members received training in UAE and UAE-backed facilities
- Technical specialists traveled between UAE and Sudan
- UAE military advisors documented in areas near RSF operations
THE PHARAOHS: Naming Names
Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan – The Chief Pharaoh
Position: President of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Abu Dhabi
The Evidence Against Him: As the ultimate decision-maker in UAE’s authoritarian system, nothing of this scale happens without MBZ’s knowledge and approval. The UAE’s foreign policy, military support, and intelligence operations all flow from his authority.
- Direct meetings with Hemedti documented before and during the conflict
- Control over UAE military and intelligence services providing support
- Authority over financial regulations that allow blood gold trade
- Personal wealth and sovereign funds that could be financing RSF support
Allah (SWT) says of Pharaoh:
إِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ عَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَجَعَلَ أَهْلَهَا شِيَعًۭا يَسْتَضْعِفُ طَآئِفَةًۭ مِّنْهُمْ يُذَبِّحُ أَبْنَآءَهُمْ وَيَسْتَحْىِۦ نِسَآءَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ ٤
Indeed, Pharaoh ˹arrogantly˺ elevated himself in the land and divided its people into ˹subservient˺ groups, one of which he persecuted, slaughtering their sons and keeping their women. He was truly one of the corruptors.
MBZ exalts himself regionally, using UAE wealth and power to create factions in Sudan, enabling the oppression and massacre of specific ethnic groups.
He wears the keffiyeh. He builds mosques. He claims Islamic heritage. But his actions in Sudan make him a Pharaoh, a tyrant with keffiyeh using power to enable mass murder of Muslims.
Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan – Pharaoh’s Intelligence Chief
Position: National Security Advisor of UAE, brother of MBZ
The Evidence Against Him: Tahnoun oversees UAE intelligence services and many covert foreign operations. He is deeply involved in UAE’s regional interventions.
- Controls intelligence channels that would coordinate RSF support
- Manages relationships with regional proxies and militias
- Oversees covert operations including likely support to RSF
- Connected to financial networks moving money for sensitive operations
His role is documented in multiple investigative reports about UAE’s regional activities, including in Sudan. He is indeed another Pharaoh in a keffiyeh, conducting shadow operations that enable genocide while maintaining a respectable public image.
Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan – Pharaoh’s Diplomatic Shield
Position: Minister of Foreign Affairs, brother of MBZ
The Evidence Against Him: As foreign minister, Abdullah provides the diplomatic cover for UAE’s Sudan policy:
- Public statements downplaying RSF atrocities
- Diplomatic maneuvering at UN to protect RSF from consequences
- International engagement that legitimizes UAE’s role
- Representation of UAE policy that enables genocide
He speaks smoothly in international forums while his country arms those committing mass murder. A Pharaoh who uses diplomacy instead of armies, but enables death just the same.
The UAE Military and Intelligence Leadership
Beyond the named royals, UAE military commanders, intelligence officers, and operational personnel implementing Sudan policy are complicit:
- Officers coordinating arms shipments
- Intelligence operatives managing RSF relationships
- Logistics personnel organizing supply chains
- Financial operatives processing blood gold
They may follow orders, but they execute genocide. Following orders didn’t excuse Pharaoh’s soldiers, it indeed won’t excuse them.
WHY? The Motives Behind the Massacre
Understanding UAE’s motives doesn’t excuse their actions, but it exposes the callous calculation behind Muslim-on-Muslim violence:
1. Resource Extraction – Gold Above All
Sudan’s gold is worth billions annually. UAE access to this gold through RSF control of mining areas represents:
- Direct financial profit for UAE-connected entities
- Strategic resource for UAE’s gold trading hub status
- Economic leverage over Sudan’s future
They’ve chosen gold over Muslim lives. Profit over mercy. Wealth over Islamic brotherhood.
2. Geopolitical Positioning
UAE sees Sudan as strategically vital:
- Red Sea access for naval and commercial purposes
- Horn of Africa presence in regional power competition
- Counterweight to rivals (Turkey, Qatar, Iran)
- Military basing potential for future UAE operations
They’re playing great power politics using Muslim blood as currency.
3. The “Strong Man” Strategy
UAE consistently backs authoritarian “strong men” in the region:
- Haftar in Libya
- Sisi in Egypt
- Various militia leaders across the region
- Now Hemedti in Sudan
They prefer dictators they can do business with over Islamic movements they can’t control. Hemedti represents UAE’s ideal partner: brutal enough to maintain control, transactional enough to serve UAE interests, dependent enough to remain loyal.
4. Economic Imperialism
Beyond gold, UAE seeks:
- Agricultural land in Sudan for UAE food security
- Port access for UAE shipping
- Investment opportunities in a weakened, desperate Sudan
- Economic dominance over Sudan’s reconstruction (if they achieve it)
They’re positioning to economically colonize Sudan, easier to do amid chaos and desperation.
THE PATTERN: UAE’s Regional Record
Sudan isn’t an aberration, it’s part of a pattern of UAE behavior across the region:
Yemen: Previous Massacre
UAE played a major role in Yemen’s catastrophe:
- Military intervention causing civilian casualties
- Support for militias committing human rights abuses
- Torture sites operated by UAE forces documented by AP
- Contributing to what UN called “world’s worst humanitarian crisis”
Same playbook: military intervention, support for brutal proxies, civilian suffering, denial of responsibility.
Libya: Fueling Civil War
UAE armed and supported Khalifa Haftar’s forces:
- Repeated violations of UN arms embargo
- Drone strikes on civilian areas
- Prolonging Libya’s civil war
Same pattern: backing strongmen, violating international law, enabling violence.
Somalia: Interference and Destabilization
UAE interventions in Somalia’s politics:
- Supporting certain factions over others
- Undermining national government
- Contributing to continued instability
Same approach: divide and manipulate for UAE interests.
Egypt: Backing the Coup
UAE strongly supported Sisi’s military coup:
- Billions in financial aid to military government
- Diplomatic cover for repression
- Helping crush Muslim Brotherhood, wich came to power with votes
The UAE’s role in Sudan is the latest chapter in a consistent story of UAE Pharaohs enabling violence, crushing Islam, and pursuing power regardless of Muslim lives lost.
THE ACCOMPLICES: Who Else Enables This?
While UAE is the primary external enabler, others share responsibility:
Russia/Wagner Group
- Providing some weapons and support to RSF
- Gold smuggling networks overlapping with UAE channels
- Geopolitical competition with West motivates involvement
Another Pharaoh in different clothing, Putin’s regime enabling massacres for gold and influence.
Libya’s Eastern Factions
- Serving as transit point for UAE supplies
- Providing territory for training and logistics
- Benefiting from UAE patronage themselves
Client Pharaohs serving their UAE masters.
Complicit Corporations
- Gold trading companies in Dubai processing blood gold
- Arms manufacturers supplying equipment (often through intermediaries)
- Financial institutions processing transactions despite red flags
- Logistics companies moving materiel
Corporate Pharaohs, prioritizing profit over every ethical consideration.
Silent Governments
Nations that could pressure UAE but don’t:
- United States (despite some criticism, maintains close UAE relationship)
- United Kingdom (major UAE trade partner, arms supplier)
- European nations (economic interests outweigh Sudan concerns)
- Other Gulf states (silent or supportive of UAE actions)
Accessory Pharaohs, enabling through silence and continued partnership.
WHAT MUST BE DONE: A Call to Action
Evidence is useless without action. Here’s what Muslims worldwide must do to confront these Pharaohs:
1. Economic Warfare Against UAE Pharaohs
Boycott Dubai and UAE:
- Don’t travel to UAE for tourism or business
- Don’t use Emirates airline or other UAE carriers
- Don’t shop at UAE-owned businesses
- Don’t invest in UAE assets or markets
- Divest from UAE if you hold investments
Target the Gold Trade:
- Refuse to buy gold from Dubai sources
- Pressure jewelry companies to certify Sudan-free gold
- Support legislation requiring gold sourcing transparency
- Expose companies trading in blood gold
Financial Pressure:
- Close accounts with UAE-based banks
- Avoid UAE financial services and fintech
- Pressure universities and institutions to divest from UAE
- Support sanctions against UAE entities involved in Sudan
Every dollar denied to UAE is a bullet not sent to Sudan.
2. Political and Diplomatic Confrontation
Demand Government Action:
- Pressure your government to sanction UAE over Sudan
- Support legislation targeting UAE complicity
- Call for arms embargo enforcement against UAE
- Demand international investigations with teeth
3. Information Warfare Against UAE Pharaohs
Expose the Truth:
- Share this article and similar investigations widely
- Use social media to spread documented evidence
- Counter UAE propaganda with facts
- Don’t let them control the narrative
Target UAE’s Image:
- Expose “Dubai luxury” as built on blood money
- Reveal “modern UAE” as Pharaonic tyranny
- Show “Islamic UAE” as Islamic betrayal
- Destroy the UAE brand through truth
Support Investigative Journalism:
- Fund organizations investigating UAE role in Sudan
- Share and amplify journalists exposing UAE
- Protect sources and whistleblowers revealing UAE crimes
- Demand media coverage of UAE complicity
The UAE Pharaohs rely on information control and we must break it.
4. Direct Support to Sudan
Don’t wait for UAE to stop, help Sudan now:
- Donate to vetted relief organizations working in Sudan
- Support Sudanese refugees in your country
- Amplify Sudanese voices telling their stories
- Volunteer if you have relevant skills
- Advocate for increased humanitarian access
Make Du’a:
- Consistent supplication for Sudan’s deliverance
- Special prayers in blessed times
- Collective du’a in mosques after Jummah
- Sincere asking for Allah’s intervention
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “The supplication of a Muslim for his brother in his absence is readily accepted. An angel is appointed to his side. Whenever he prays for his brother, the angel says: ‘Ameen, and may you have likewise.’”
5. Prepare for UAE Retaliation
The Pharaohs won’t accept accountability quietly:
- Expect UAE propaganda against critics
- Prepare for legal threats (UAE uses lawfare)
- Protect your digital security if you’re vocal
- Build networks of mutual support
- Stay consistent despite pressure
Remember: Pharaoh threatened, intimidated, and tried to silence the truth too. It didn’t save him.
To the UAE Pharaohs: Your Judgment Awaits
Mohammed bin Zayed. Tahnoun. Abdullah. The UAE military and intelligence leadership. The businessmen profited from blood gold. The officials enabling genocide.
This message is for you:
You may think your wealth protects you. That your international connections shield you. That your authoritarian control silences dissent. That your PR campaigns manage your image.
You’re wrong.
Truth has a way of emerging. The evidence is documented. The bodies are counted. The survivors will testify. History will record.
And beyond all human accountability, Allah sees everything:
Every cargo plane you sent. Every weapons shipment you authorized. Every gold transaction you processed. Every diplomatic maneuver you made to protect the RSF.
Every Sudanese child who starved while you feasted. Every woman raped by militias you armed. Every village burned with weapons you supplied. Every family destroyed by forces you enabled.
Allah sees it all. And He will judge.
“So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it. And whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.” (99:7-8)
You’ve done far more than atoms of evil. You’ve enabled a genocide.
Pharaoh thought he was powerful too. He had armies, wealth, and control over an entire nation. He thought he was invincible.
Allah destroyed him utterly. His wealth didn’t save him. His power didn’t save him. Nothing saved him.
“And We made them leaders inviting to the Fire, and on the Day of Resurrection they will not be helped.” (28:41)
This is your future.
You will face the judgment that awaits all Pharaohs who thought themselves above Allah’s law.
To Muslims Worldwide: Choose Your Side
The evidence is clear. The UAE is enabling genocide in Sudan. This is not allegation, it’s documented fact.
You must now choose:
Will you continue to travel to Dubai, supporting the Pharaohs with your tourist dollars?
Will you continue to use UAE services, enriching those who arm genocidaires?
Will you continue to remain silent, accepting the UAE’s Islamic credentials despite their un-Islamic actions?
Or will you stand with Sudan against the Pharaohs?
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever among you sees an evil action, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart, and that is the weakest of faith.”
Change it with your hand: Take concrete action, boycott, divest, advocate, pressure.
Change it with your tongue: Speak the truth, expose UAE, condemn them, refuse to stay silent.
Change it with your heart: At minimum, recognize the evil and refuse to accept it.
Anything less is complicity.
Conclusion: The Pharaohs Will Fall
The UAE Pharaohs sit in their air-conditioned palaces, wearing their keffiyehs, building their vanity projects, and counting their blood money.
They think they’re untouchable. They think their wealth and power place them above accountability, human or divine.
History has seen such arrogance before. And history records how it always ends.
“How many a city have We destroyed while it was committing wrong, so it is [now] fallen into ruin, and [how many] an abandoned well and [how many] a lofty palace.” (22:45)
Dubai’s towers will not stand forever. Abu Dhabi’s wealth will not last eternally. The UAE Pharaohs’ power is temporary.
But their crimes are permanently written. And the judgment for those crimes is eternal.
Sudan will survive these Pharaohs. The Sudanese people will outlast them. Truth will prevail over propaganda. Justice, if not in this world, then certainly in the next, will be done.
And we will see the Pharaohs fall, just as every Pharaoh before them has fallen.
Until that day, we bear witness:
The United Arab Emirates, under the leadership of Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, stands accused of enabling genocide in Sudan through documented arms supplies, blood gold trade, and political support for the Rapid Support Forces.
These are Pharaohs in keffiyehs, tyrants wearing Islamic symbols while betraying Islamic values, committing or enabling the massacre of Muslims, and embodying everything the Quran condemned in the original Pharaoh.
We bear witness. We will not be silent. And we will not rest until Sudan is free and these Pharaohs are held accountable, in this life or the next.
Allahu Akbar. And may He deliver swift justice for Sudan and destruction for all who enable its suffering. Ameen.
“Indeed, We will support Our messengers and those who believe during the life of this world and on the Day when the witnesses will stand.” (40:51)
We stand as witnesses against the UAE Pharaohs. And Allah will support the truth.
Allahu Alam, Allah Knows Best
